Another month here at mDesign and we are taking a look a few more people who bring mDesign to life. Whether it be our social media account, working with influencers, the fabulous emails that are sent out or the engaging content that is mDesign. Here is a peak at the brains behind the operation.

Josiah Ross
Social Media Associate

1. Can you tell me a little about yourself?
   
   I come from an amazing family of six, with three brothers – two older and one younger. We grew up in a very rural community where my high school class graduated under 160 students. I graduated from the University of Mount Union in December 2018 and majored in Marketing and Business Management. During my time in college, I created multiple online business ventures where many failed, yet there were a few that were successful. My favorite success was creating an ecommerce store called UrbanApparel where I drop shipped clothing, watches, and hats to my customers. The road was tough while still studying for classes, being an athlete, and getting enough sleep but I enjoyed every moment of it.



2. What are three words you’d use to describe yourself?
   
   Creative, Caring, and Driven



3. What are your hobbies and interests?
   
   I love playing sports (soccer, running track, basketball) and have played all my life. In college, I was a two-time national champion in the 400m hurdles with multiple places at state as well. My favorite hobbies include playing the piano and guitar, creating pencil drawings of futuristic cities, and working with technology. When I was in high school and playing soccer, I started my own fan page on Twitter called “Soccer Life”. After growing to over 10K followers after one year, I started creating other pages as well. By the time I was a sophomore in college I was running over 10 other pages on Instagram and Twitter with over 260K combined followers and it has been a passion of mine ever since.



4. How would you describe your style?
   
   My style falls along the lines of being very reserved yet sociable at the same time. I love keeping life simple, yet I am so compassionate about people and parts of my life that are important to me. I believe that everyone has their own unique story and should share it with the world.



5. How do you stay organized?
   
   Having just recently moved from my shared college house with track teammates to a one-bedroom apartment, organization has been so important to me. I have found out over the past few months from some of our favorite professional organizers that creating a system that works for my specific lifestyle will keep me organized. In doing this, I have made a specific place for everything - food, clothes, shoes, dishes, etc. – and have been able to continuously place them in containers where they belong for the next use.



6. What’s your favorite mDesign product and why?
   
   I would say that selecting a favorite mDesign product is a very tough choice to make as I have many favorites. One that has continued to help me stay organized in my kitchen is our open-front wire bins. What I love about them is that I can see everything I store inside and can easily pull the items out since the front has an opening. It helps keep my system in place for all my pantry foods.



7. What’s your favorite part about working at mDesign?
   
   Working for mDesign has already been an amazing experience for me. I find that day-in and day-out I am always working on new projects, sharing my creative insights, and learning new information. I absolutely love the aspect of collaborating with influencers and celebrities on various projects and have found that there are so many niches of fan groups that I never knew existed. The greatest part about working for mDesign is the people; I know a bit cliché, right? I have honestly met so many genuine people that love the work they do and have shared awesome experiences with me. I cannot wait to see what the future holds.

1. Can you tell me a little about yourself?
   
   I grew up in the small, slow town of Edinboro, PA with my parents and two older sisters - and LOTS of animals. I played tennis growing up and participated in tournaments throughout the region. I went on to attend the local college – Edinboro University majoring in Journalism and Public Relations. During my senior year, I interned for a small marketing firm in Solon, OH and fell in love with the Cleveland area. Upon graduation, I moved to Cleveland and have been here ever since!



2. What are three words you’d use to describe yourself?
   
   Outgoing, honest, dedicated



3. What are your hobbies and interests?
   
   Shopping way too much, dogsitting (on the Rover app), going to breweries/wineries with friends and family, playing tennis when the weather allows.



4. How would you describe your style?
   
   Comfortable and versatile.



5. How do you stay organized?
   
   I make every cabinet/drawer/closet serve a specific purpose and never mix things into the wrong place. I put things away the moment I finish using it, in its designated place.



6. What’s your favorite mDesign product and why?
   
   So far, it’s the makeup organizers. I have way too many brushes/palettes/etc. so having a place for everything is making my morning routine SO much easier.



7. What’s your favorite part about working at mDesign?
   
   Everyone is bubbly and fun! We all bounce ideas off of each other, which makes for a very creative and supportive environment. I love getting to create my own content for the products we offer and being my own target audience makes writing enthusiastically a breeze!

Mike Freiberg
Digital Marketing Specialist

1. Can you tell me a little about yourself?
   
   Born and raised in mentor but currently live in Concord. Went to Catholic school my whole life until college at CSU where I studied Marketing with a focus on Digital – social media, email, CRM. Worked full time as a baker at Biagio’s donut shop for almost 10 years, and worked as a marketing intern at the Catholic Cemeteries Association for the length of my last two semesters in college.



2. What are three words you’d use to describe yourself?
   
   

   Funny, determined, respectful




3. What are your hobbies and interests?
   
   I like being active- skateboarding, snowboarding, biking, hiking, camping, surfing, anything outdoors.



4. How would you describe your style?
   
   Simple, comfortable, functional



5. How do you stay organized?
   
   Best thing is to simply put things back where they belong when you’re done using them. And a little tidying once a week is a lot easier than cleaning up a month’s worth of clutter a couple times a year.



6. What’s your favorite mDesign product and why?
   
   Tie/belt organizer because I have a problem with losing belts and there’s no real place to keep ties without a proper rack or shelf.



7. What’s your favorite part about working at mDesign?
   
   Working with a younger crowd is refreshing. At my internship, my manager and I were the only ones in our 20’s, so it’s really cool being able to work somewhere with a ton of people that have similar interests and lifestyles as me.
