9 Tips for Beautiful Bedding

9 Tips for Beautiful Bedding

There’s nothing like a comfy bed at the end of a long day

This past year has been rough. Between worrying about the pandemic, attending countless Zoom calls, and homeschooling kids, who can blame us for being a bit frazzled?! So, falling into bed at night for much-needed rest is bliss. I definitely appreciate my bed so much more now!

We spend about one third of our life in bed, so let’s make sure you love the space as much as the rest of your home! Here are nine steps to create a cozy and stylish bed.

1 Strip the bed completely. If you are one of the few people who still has a dust ruffle or bed skirt on your bed, please get rid of it! For allergy sufferers, these covers are just a trap for dust and allergens. Plus, they are harder to clean, and having to remove the mattress first means they probably are not cleaned as often as needed.

Hypoallergenic Quilted Mattress Pad Cover 2 Cover your mattress with a neatly fitting mattress protector. The mattress protector is the foundation of a good night’s rest. It adds an extra layer of warmth and comfort as well as protecting your mattress.
Microfiber Deep Pocket Bedroom Sheet Set 3 Creating a chic look is easy when you add a set of white microfiber sheets from mDesign. The sheet set includes a fitted sheet, flat sheet and pillowcase(s). White sheets are perfect for every season! They are clean and crisp, modern, and naturally go with any other accent color. Sets are available in twin, full, queen, and king sizes.

mDESIGN TIP - Twin sheet sets in a variety of colors are a fun back to college accessory to spice up the dorm!
Down Alternative Quilted Comforter Duvet Inserts 4 Treat yourself to a new and affordable white down alternative comforter. A down alternative comforter is the hypoallergenic way to get that amazing softness without the sneezing. Want a bolder look? The comforter is available in five colors.
5 Want that top hotel look? Try triple sheeting! By adding a third sheet to the mix, you’re able to create an elevated look as well as making laundry easy! You’re also able to eliminate duvet covers, instead just using the insert/comforter. This technique is ideal for guest bedrooms (or potty-training kids!) where you would be laundering bedding more often. Mix and match colors for a unique look.

Hypoallergenic Gusseted Quilted Bed Pillow 6 Next, add these incredibly comfortable mDesign pillows to achieve the perfect night sleep.
7 Toss a warm and plush throw blanket at the foot of your bed. The blanket can be an altogether different color than the pillows or duvet, just as long as the colors complement each other and tie the look together. Whether you prefer modern or boho, blankets set the stage.

Decorative Faux Linen Pillow Case Cover 8 Need an extra pop of color in your bedroom? mDesign Pillow Covers are perfect and a beautiful addition to any bedroom, living room or guest room. They come in a variety of colors and styles that are sure to please even the pickiest of pallets. The best part? They come in a 2 pack so you can add that designer look to your bedspread in no time flat! Match your decor, or swap out different colors each season.
Wide Rectangular Woven Home Storage Basket Bin 9 Now add the finishing touches to make your bedroom your nighttime sanctuary. Try propping one of our unique storage ladders up against a wall. Toss a few extra throw blankets over a rung or two for a cozier feel. Or, place these decorative woven baskets in the corner of your room. Fill them with extra pillows or throws blankets to gently give your room some extra warmth.

There is no better time than Spring to think about a bedding makeover. Open the windows, catch some fresh air, and clean out the Winter blues! Then retire to your newly made up bed for a luxurious rest.
