Skip the Kitchen, it’s Campfire Time!
Beat the Summertime Cooking Slump with these Fun Bonfire Recipes!
After being on stay at home orders, having the kids at home full time, and working from home, we've all channeled our inner homebodies. Staying in leads to many home-cooked meals, at least for me. Even though stay at home orders are being lifted, many people are keeping safe in their homes and soaking up the sun in their own backyards.
Something about the warm weather and the longer days makes me completely lose my desire to cook. I would rather be sitting by a pool than in my kitchen cooking an extravagant meal for everyone. If I do decide to have something ready for dinner, I throw something simple on the grill or put on a pot of mac and cheese (even though I've made it the past 4 days). I know I can't be the only one who gets like this.!
My way to get out of the "cooking slump" is to switch up how I cook things, for instance cooking on a bonfire or campfire! Yes, you can make things other than s’mores on a campfire. It's fun and gives your food a unique taste. Whether whipping up a delicious dessert or a full family dinner, there are so many delicious recipes options. I’ve included some of my favorites below. Cooking over the fire can be fun for the whole family and help provide some quality time! All you need is a skillet, some foil, and the ingredients of course!
